Cassie joined our herd in the summer of 2019 as an acquisition from Sand Stone Ridge. She comes from a powerhouse genetic background which includes her dam, SG South-Fork AV Catie, also added to our herd at the same time and her sire, J-Haven’s 777 Liven w/Valor, the son of the of the 2014 National Champion, GCH J-Haven’s FT Liven’ w/Ambition. At such a young age, Cassie is already showing great dairy strength, and a very correct mammary system. We’ve included Cassie in our 2019 Show Circuit and she’s performed very well at each show. We’re really excited at the upside Cassie shows as well as leveraging her in our 2020 Breeding Program.

2020 Updates

Cassie has developed into a gorgeous doe over the past year with increased body capacity and mammary maturation. We are disappointed that LA Appraisal is canceled for this year as we believe she would appraise quite strongly over her score as a 1 year old.

We bred Cassie to our herd sire, Manzinita Farms Admire Matton and she produced two large and very correct doe kids. We plan to retain one kid in our herd.

Cassie was awarded her milk star in the Fall of 2020. This girl is quickly developing into a carbon copy of her dam, South-Fork AV Catie.

2021 Updates

As a 3 year old, Cassie is now hitting her stride in maturity and production. She’s freshened 3 times and always produces beautiful, correct kids. Last year we retained a doe kid out of her breeding to Matton, DeLuna Monique and we could not be more pleased with Monique. Cassie structurally excels in dairyness, legs, feet, pasterns and mammary. While her mammary is not as capacious as some does, it is very well balanced and presents a perfect side view. This year since freshening, Cassie has consistently produced 9-10# on milk test with no signs of dropping off. Some does just take longer to mature and we believe this is the case with Cassie. We are willing to be patient and give her time.
