This is the kid that almost wasn’t. Her dam decided to kid 4 days early outside on a cold, wet, snowy night. We found Persevere in the early morning hours close to death but this kid had a will to live, to “persevere”. We immediately rushed her into the barn and started to warm her body. After several hours she began to show signs of life and we knew we needed to give this kid a chance to prove herself. Persevere had a rough start but has made up for it in recent months gaining size comparable the other doe kids we retained this year. Her overall conformation is very nice and she has the genetics to be a solid doe at maturity so we wait ….. Persevere will remain dry in 2022/23.
