We retained Marcus out of our 2020 Breeding Program, a product of our SG South-Fork AV Catie X *B Manzinita Farm Admire Matton Breeding. We were pleasantly surprised when ADGA notified us that Marcus had been selected to the Young Herdsire Program (message from ADGA below):

TO: DE LUNA ACRES RE: Buck: L2090322 DELUNA LSF MARCUS Congratulations! We are pleased to inform you that the buck above has qualified during the 2020 4th quarter for the ADGA Sire Development Program (ADGA-SDP) based on being registered during that time or due to new evaluation numbers. According to performance records, he has a calculated Estimated Transmitting Ability (ETA) of 83 for Production over Type (2:1) and 51 for Type over Production (1:2). Marcus was actively used in our 2021 Breeding Program and we are really anxious to see what he produces.

2021 Updates

We recently shaved our entire herd for the summer and are in utter awe after shaving Marcus. This boy has developed so well in the short 15 months since he was born. We leveraged him in our 2021 Breeding Program and are fortunate to have 3 doe kids we plan to retain out of him for our herd. The correctness of each kid is very impressive and cannot wait to see how they develop as yearlings and milking seniors. Marcus will be leveraged heavily this coming year.
